  • A company key has been required since February 1, 2024. We walk you through requesting it from the Ministry, it is emailed to you if your request can be authenticated, or mailed to your head office if not. Request a company key.

What changes require a notice of change?

A change to your registered head office address, or to your directors and officers, appointments, resignations, or a change to someone’s address. If the information the registry holds about your corporation is no longer accurate, that is what this filing corrects.

How fast is it?

Same day. We file electronically once you have provided your company key and confirmed the changes.

What do I need to provide?

Your company key, the details of what changed, and the effective date. If you do not have a company key yet, request one from the Ministry using the link above, it is emailed to you if your request can be authenticated, or mailed to your head office.

What if I’m a federal corporation with an Ontario head office?

You have two records to keep current, the federal one with Corporations Canada and the Ontario one. See Federal Notice of Change (Ontario Head Office), which handles both.
